This 5-day restoration course is based around you bringing your own project to work on. Traditional and modern upholstery techniques are covered along with wood restoration if needed. It is open to all levels from experienced to total novice so you need not worry if you have no experience. Materials are all available at the studio and we can help you with ordering your top fabric too if needs be.
Upholstery projects can be complicated and some will take longer than a week to complete. If you would like some guidance on how long your project might take or what can be achieved in a week then please send us a photo or call us to discuss.
We have a resident studio dog. Toby is a young golden retriever who is very bouncy and full of love. If you are allergic or scared of dogs then sadly this might not be the place for you. If you have your own dog that you would like to bring then please call us to discuss if this is possible.
Refreshments are provided but we recommend bringing lunch. There is a kitchen you can use for cooking and storing any food.
We finish at 5pm each day, apart from Friday when we finish at 4.30pm.
This course is open to leisure students, hobbyists and AMUSF diploma students.
